Catching up From Life…

3 May

I strongly dislike Monday’s. Yesterday was a whirl-wind day which ended in me hardly tweeting, not blogging, not working out and getting home from work after 10PM. After only a week of working out I have come to realize I NEED to work out every day or else I feel super sluggish the next.

This past weekend I posted some pics on Twitter and Facebook hanging out at the pool and got some comments and questions on my suits and accessories so I thought I would fill ya in on the deets :)

Day 2 Workout

28 Apr

Today I got a late start on my Tone It Up workout (started at 10:15!) so I didn’t go as long as I hoped for…but good news…I ate well and avoided all sweets!

Workout 1

The girls at Tone It Up recommend doing this circuit three times through…I was exhausted and only did it once :) Continue reading

Work Out #1…DONE!

27 Apr

When I said I was going to start to workout again I meant it! In case you want to follow along I will post the workouts I do each night. I already told you about the Tone It Up Girls and I LOVE what they have to offer.

As of now my plan is to mix Tone It Up workouts with some I learned during my college days.

Day 1 Workout:

  1. Day 1 COMPLETE! If you read my post earlier this evening you know about my deep craving for sweets. After I ate dinner and before my workout I stared at a box of cookies wanting to dive in SO badly. I told myself a cookie would be my post-workout treat. Guess what…I don’t even want one! I feel so much better after my workout and don’t want to ruin it by shoving a cookie down :) We’ll see if I can resist one on my way out the door to work tomorrow ;)

if you can’t tone it, tan it…

Metabolism. It’s a wonderful thing. If it wasn’t for my ridiculously high metabolism I can GUARANTEE you I would be about 200 pounds heavier. Sweets are my weakness…chocolate, cupcakes, pie, oreos, cookies, ice cream…my inner fat kid shines on a daily basis. But it’s not just sweets. I love food. Like, love love food. I literally eat until I’m about to burst. I feel bad for any guy that offers to take me to dinner because they probably assume i’m ordering a salad but instead get an appetizer, salad, the largest meat dish AND dessert. Or I go to Taco Bell and run up a $15 order. How does someone spend $15 at TACO BELL?!

The bad part about this whole situation is that the only reason I am still my size is because of my metabolism and metabolism doesn’t last forever. That, and the fact that I live in Florida, can tan all year long and it’s a proven fact that tan skin hides imperfections! My mom reminds me any time I stuff my face and flash a huge mocking smile her way, “Just wait til you hit your late 20s…it’s all goin’ down hill.” Thanks, mom.

To her point, sooner or later i’m going to have to start working out. Some of you may be thinking, “You were a college athlete, you don’t workout?” The answer to that is a definite NO. If you were forced to workout every day for fours years straight the LAST thing you would want to do is hit the gym. Not only that, but for four years I didn’t need to have any self-motivation. I was forced to do it and had a trainer that pushed me to my breaking point and planned my workouts for me. It’s not that I don’t know the proper workouts to get in shape. In fact, I could probably train someone into tip-top shape with all of the knowledge I have stashed in my brain. I just don’t have the motivation to do it myself.

But that “some point” in time has occurred. Through the lovely Bachelor World Ashley S introduced me to the Tone It Up Girls while we were spending some QT this past weekend. One second on their site will make the most confident chick feel like she has some major work to do. After reading through their site I have fallen in love with their workouts!

Easy to follow, no need for weights and a gym and they keep you motivated! Everything is posted on their site, facebook page, you can follow them on twitter AND they have printable workout sheets!

I’m turning over a new leaf and am going to work out. In no means am I one of those chicks that’s skinny and thinks I’m fat…but I am out of shape and def need to tone up certain areas,< ahem > hello, booty, thighs and abs, i’m talkin to you. I’m hoping that by blogging about my workouts it will hold me accountable…we will see :)

Join me in gettin’ in shape for summer with the awesome Tone It Up Girls…and if all else fails…get some sun and tan it up ;)
