Bachelor Pad 2, Episode 3: From nuvaring to a promise ring

23 Aug

Raise your hand if you’re sick of all the crying. <sees all of AMERICA with hands up> Yup, that’s what I thought. I’m really hoping ABC starts providing candy jars of happy pills for the house because I just can’t take this!

It looks like ABC is starting a new trend and begins each episode right where we left off: picking up after the rose ceremony. Lucky for us, this means we get to see Melissa continue to rip Blake a new one.

This is her trying to be calm. Yikes.

She is making some valid points…if Blake only wants to use her as a strategical partner he needs to admit that. At the same time, I can’t necessarily blame Blake for not being completely honest with her. How many times have you seen the whole “I promise I won’t get mad, just tell me the truth” situation play out where the person ends up FREAKING OUT once they do hear the truth? Exactly. Melissa hasn’t proven that her emotions can be trusted which leaves Blake playing the game. And, wait…is that Holly comforting her? Ah, the age-old, I’ll blame one party for “cheating” but not the other person involved. Takes two to tango. Can’t wait to see how this falls apart!

Challenge

The house heads outside the next morning to see what challenge awaits them and apparently they walked in on a birth control commercial.

Too-tight attire, splashing in the water and over-the-top facial expressions…this cast will have zero problems fitting in with the synchronized swimmers. Girls vs guys and of course we get Kasey and Vienna touting their skills…again. If it’s anything like their strength (“We are in the best shape of our LIVES”-lost the first challenge) or throwing abilities (“I played baseball/softball all my life!”-lost the second challenge) then these two will be the ones drowning in the shallow end.

Well what do ya know…Vienna actually looked pretty good during this challenge. Realize that her performance was in comparison to a handful of others that resembled cats thrown into a bathtub, but still! End the performance with some gratuitous girl-on-girl action and that about does it for the ladies.

Guys  have their shot and I think it’s safe to say my jaw was on the floor the ENTIRE performance.

The facial expressions, the perfectly placed arms and legs, the coordination…look out, Rockettes, the men of Bachelor Pad are comin’ for ya!

Dave Good and Natalie Getz (winners of BP 1) are guest judges and their votes were combined with a synchronized swimmer gold medalist votes to decide who was awarded a rose and date. Stag and Michelle (apparently Nat and the olympian digged the girl-on-girl kiss as much as Dave did) are the winners and will get to take 3 people on a date. Michelle picks Graham, Kasey and Blake. And in a shocking turn of events, Stag takes HOLLY!, Vienna and Ella.

Dates

Michelle and the guys head out to a vineyard…my favorite date so far. Michelle pulls Blake aside and gives him some MUCH needed advice on how to handle Melissa. Be honest, tell her you aren’t interested in her other than strategically and sleep with a knife under your pillow. Ok, I added that last part but she might as well have said that.

Michelle then pulls Graham aside to spill the beans to her crush and Graham shared her exact feelings. No, this isn’t the Bachelor or The Bachelorette. This is a game where people are focused on money and where some run from relationships. And that’s what Graham is doing. Instead of getting lovey-dovey he shot her down hard. Michelle…did you watch Graham’s season? Yeah, I’m not too shocked by this. Regardless, Graham needs to go watch some chick flicks and learn how to respond to a woman when she opens up. He said everything he should have said to her in his one-on-one interview. C’mon dude! Just tell it to her face! She’s gorgeous and amazing and funny. If that isn’t enough for someone what is?!

Stag and his girls go horseback riding (or attempt to) and all we hear (other than Vienna complaining) are Holly’s inner thoughts on how she shouldn’t be on the date. I will give Holly the benefit of the doubt and say that there is probably so much to their relationship that we all don’t know, but I don’t understand Holly’s position. We are constantly hearing how she thinks she shouldn’t be around Michael, how she hates seeing him want her and how she should distance herself from him. In this case, how is Holly any different from Blake? She knows she doesn’t want him (she says it multiple times) and she knows what she should do (tell him she only wants a strategic relationship) yet she can’t bring herself to say it. She’s playing the game just like Blake is and I have a feeling Michael is going to get burned.

It’s an engagement, I mean, promise ring

Vienna and Kasey celebrate their 6 month anniversary. It has only been SIX MONTHS?! Gah, I feel like these two have been in the public eye for 6 YEARS.

“What is that?! I don’t want it to be an engagement ring”

“It’s a promise ring.”

“Oh, OK!”

And as if the embarrassment of giving a girl a ring that didn’t want it wasn’t enough, Kasey decides to break out in song… his own, self-written song. And this is the reaction his ‘loving’ girlfriend gives him.

Yes, that’s laughter. I have no words, but apparently he can’t take a hint. Ali told him to stop with the singing, Vienna laughs, ALL OF AMERICA made fun of it. Every time I see him sing I get that same uneasy feeling in my stomach that occurs when the people who suck try out for American Idol. Don’t these people have any honest friends?!

After seeing these two interact more and more, I don’t quite understand why they are together. Kasey is still up for sainthood, in my opinion.

The Erica Show

I need to take a moment to recognize the underdog of this show. Erica Rose. Seriously. Can we keep her around forever? Her comments are freaking hilarious. Here’s just a snippet of the genius that is Erica Rose:

“I was thinking Jake could win this competition alone on the fact that he has a really big package.”

“I definitely have good lips…that I maintain…with getting injections every 6 months.”

“I don’t trust Melissa as far as I can throw her. And even though she’s really tiny, it’s not that far”

“I don’t think Vienna and Kasey are good people, they’re all about themselves…and they’re not even cute.”

Rose Ceremony

Everyone knows only one guy is going home and tensions are high as it comes down to Kasey and Jake. Everything sits in Kirk’s hands since he’s the final vote needed to send either man home. He has an alliance with Kasey yet knows for the game’s sake he should send him home. So what does he do? Well, we DON’T KNOW! Sweet editing move, ABC. It comes down to Jake and Kasey and as Chris Harrison says “Kasey” it cuts to black and we then get the mask dancing in the pool. We don’t know if he called Kasey’s name to tell him he got the rose, we don’t know if Chris was getting ready to make a statement like “Kasey, Jake…good luck,” we don’t know! AHH! I will tell ya, if Kirk failed miserably and sent home Jake, he should be left to sleep outside with the bees, exiled to be partners with Melissa, mauled by the stuffed animals in his father’s basement and should have all his clothing taken away other than his speedo.

We didn’t get any previews (booooo) so I don’t know what’s happening next week. Guess we will have to tune in to see! Worst.cliff hanger.ever.

Tune in to Bachelor Pad Beatdown tonight, Tuesday, 9pm EST, 6pm PST for more thoughts on this episode and uncensored humor from me and other cast members. See you then!

Bachelor Pad 2 Cast Revealed and My Predictions

13 Jun

Kristen Baldwin with EW.com exclusively released the Bachelor Pad 2 cast earlier today. If you are a follower of the family of shows you’ve probably already heard some of the rumored cast members. Here’s a partial breakdown of who we will see this season:

Girls:
Gia Allemand  (Season 14, Jake Pavelka)
Gia is making her second go-round on this show so it’ll be interesting to see if prior experience helps her out. When it comes to pairing up with the opposite sex I don’t think she will have trouble getting the guys to want her as their partner, but with her having a boyfriend (again) it may push some guys away. Last season having a boyfriend didn’t seem to hurt her as she fell for Wes but for her own sake, let’s hope she learned her lesson…and for entertainment’s sake let’s hope she didn’t!

Holly Durst (Season 12, Matt Grant)
I didn’t watch Holly’s season so I don’t know much about her. I do know she was engaged to Michael Stagliano (who is also on BP2) and for some reason they called it off.

Vienna Girardi (Season 14, Jake Pavelka)
We all know Vienna’s story. To put it lightly, get ready to see a storm of explosions with Kasey, Vienna AND Jake all in one house. Yikes!

Jackie Gordon (Season 15, Brad Womack)
Yay for season 15! It’ll be interesting to see how Jackie and Michelle get along in the house being that they last left on horrible terms at the Women Tell All. I know Jackie isn’t afraid to speak her mind and she also doesn’t have a daughter at home to worry about behaving nicely for. Jackie can and will pull out the claws if need be but I also wouldn’t be surprised if her and Michelle make nice just to avoid the awkwardness.

Michelle Money (Season 15, Brad Womack)
I’m thinking Michelle is looking for a chance to ‘redeem’ the public’s opinion on her after she was shown as an intense competitor during our season. Again, it’ll be interesting to see how she handles Jackie and being away from her daughter. I know Michelle is a fighter and will no doubt play her way to the end…and c’mon, she’ll have the guys eating out of the palm of her hand! It’ll be interesting to see if her and Gia get along or butt heads as two smokin’ hot chicks in the house.

Ella Nolan (Season 14, Jake Pavelka)
Yay for the return of Ella! I absolutely LOVED her on her season! She seems super sweet and capable of handling her own. I see her and Michelle bonding over being away from their kids. I think her friendliness may either get her far in the game or ruin her chances, though.

Erica Rose (Season 9, Lorenzo Borghese)
Erica has no doubt been all over the place…the Bachelor, Bachelor/Bachelorette reunions, other reality tv shows…this chick does it all! It’ll be interesting to see if she has a gaming side to her and if she can last through the competition.

Melissa Schreiber (Season 15, Brad Womack)

Another girl from my season! Y’all definitely remember her as the chick that got into it with Raichel. And when Raichel mentioned during the Women Tell All that the fights originated with Melissa and I…she was right. Melissa and I just did NOT get along. She’s just one of those people that you can’t be around because you don’t mesh well. I can deal with her in short bursts but after living with the chick it was way too much for me. Depending on how the game is set up she could be someone that goes home early because she annoys people or lasts a while because people see her as someone easy to beat in the end.

Alli Travis (Season 15, Brad Womack)

Alli! My season is rockin’ it! Alli is a ball of fun and I am really excited to see her competitive side because I know she has one…this chick is no push over!

On to the guys…

Graham Bunn (Season 4, DeAnna Pappas)

Nothing more to say other than Graham is freakin’ hot. I think it’s safe to say that he won’t have a hard time working his way into the hearts of the girls on this season. I’m interested in seeing his gaming side though…being that he’s an athlete i’m betting he’s going to bring it.

Kirk Dewindt (Season 6, Ali Fedotowski)

I loved Kirk on Ali’s season. He came off to me as being sweet and somewhat reserved so I hope he breaks that mold and goes for it! I think some girls may have their eye on him as well so it’ll be interesting to see what happens on the romantic front.

Kasey Kahl (Season 6, Ali Fedotowski)

So Kasey, Vienna and Jake under one roof. Kasey, you better beat Jake. If you don’t you will never be able to live that down. Ever. EVER.

Jake Pavelka (“The Bachelor” Season 14)

Jake is no doubt looking to revamp the public’s perception of him but I have a feeling this competitive environment is only going to make him look more like a loon. This guy has some major demons to overcome, the largest being Kasey and Vienna. It’ll be interesting to see if he becomes a “power house” player and, if so, if any girls in the house befriend him.

Justin “RATED-R” (Season 6, Ali Fedotowski)

Another guy that is probably looking to redeem his image. Rated R was a total jerk during Ali’s season and I wonder if anyone will befriend him. It’s hard to say how everyone’s real personalities are outside of the editing the show can do so he could possibly be a really cool guy. I have a feeling he is going to be a pretty tough player though and could do really well.

Michael Stagliano (Season 5, Jillian Harris)

I don’t know much about Michael other than him being the ex-fiance to Holly. Seeing if any jealousy sparks between him and other guys that get close to Holly will be interesting…and seeing if he reciprocates by going after other girls. Love the relationship drama that’s here before the season even started filming!!

Three Guys from Ashley’s Season

I hate that ABC is keeping us out of the loop as to who the 3 guys from Ash’s season are. Since they haven’t released the names from her season I think it’s safe to say that at least one of them is still on the show right now. If they had been all kicked off why wouldn’t they announce the names if we know they aren’t in the running for Ashley’s heart? Here are my guesses:

- Jeff The Mask

-William

-Tim The Drunk

I have no idea when William gets kicked off but I have a feeling that none of the other guys have really made that large of an impression to have on BP2. William is well known and had his mini controversy with the roast and could lead to some comical relief.

My Predictions for this season:

Michelle and Graham. I mean…they both are hot. I can easily see them hooking up or at the very least showing a very strong interest in each other.

Vienna/Jake/Kasey. This is a story line that needs no explanation.

Vienna/Jake/Gia. Ever since the she said she said between Vienna and Gia started regarding Wes, Gia and Vienna haven’t gotten along. Now that Gia has befriended Jake this may lead to even more heat between the two.

Jackie/Michelle. These two just don’t like each other and don’t back down from a situation. If they ever put girls up against each other in a physical challenge expect to see these two going at it.

Melissa/The Whole House. If she is anything like how she was on my season it’ll be interesting to see if people become annoyed and aggravated with her. For her own sake I hope she learned from our season and plays it cool. No one wants to see someone blow the chance at $250,000. Wait, who am I kidding…of course I want someone to completely lose their cool…I need good summer tv!

ABC still hasn’t released the format of the entire game. We don’t know if one person wins the money or if two will split it and we aren’t sure how the winner will be decided, although I can bet it won’t be like last season because everyone would know how to play it. I know I sure as heck can’t wait for this season to get started!  What do you think will be some of the story lines coming for this season of BP2??
